Celebrate! Summer Reading Program at Graves Library:


Summer Showcase of new books will take place on Friday, June 21 from 10 am- 6 pm. Come into the Jr. room and check out the huge selection of new books. We guarantee you’ll find some great books for your summer reading. New titles for all – from toddler books to top picks for teens.

‘Celebrate!’ The Summer Reading Program will officially on June 22 at 9:30 am. Come in and sign up and get your summer reading packet and check out our Summer Showcase of new books for all ages. This exciting program will include a weekly breakfast book group, special programs, crafts and weekly activities. Engage your children throughout the summer with this free, fun program.  Everyone is invited! Reading packets, which include a calendar of events and programs,  are now available in the Jr. Room.


Celebrate our Birthday!  Kickoff Party for Summer reading. Come in and help us celebrate the kickoff of our summer reading program and Graves Library’s 100th Birthday! Cake, Ice Cream, Stories, Games, & Great Fun. All ages are welcome. Pre-registration is required. (In the event of rain activities will be cancelled but cake and lemonade will be served on the porch). FMI on any of these events and to register for the party, please contact Louis T Graves Memorial Public Library at 967-2778.

I am a public library located in southern Maine. I am open 42 hours per week and serve over 6,000 patrons. The Library collaborates with others to meet the needs of the entire community for education, information, recreation, and communication. Residents of the towns of Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, Cape Porpoise, Wells, or Arundel, Maine (including general area) are welcome to a free Library Card. Non-Residents are also welcome to a temporary card for a fee of $20.00 (deposit). At the end of the stay, the non-resident may request their deposit be returned as long as the account is clear of any fines and all materials have been safely returned to the Library.
