Come Celebrate – Kennebunkport’s Prelude with Us on Saturday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m. The Kennebunkport Bell Ringers will perform here at the Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library on Saturday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m.  They will perform their program “A Garland of Carols” which is a mix of seasonal favorites.  We are pleased to offer this relaxing event by our  warm fire in a very informal setting.

The Kennebunkport Bell Ringers is a group of a dozen local players who rehearse weekly for the sheer joy of making music together. They play a set of three and a half octave hand bells and hand chimes and actively seek to promote hand bell playing in southern Maine for adults and children. Most of their ringers have had some music lessons in their past–although anyone with a good sense of rhythm can learn to play in a few rehearsals. Those who have tried ringing can wholeheartedly attest that playing with a hand bell ensemble is the ultimate team sport, with each ringer being indispensable to creating a beautiful tapestry of sound.  Jura Litchfield is the contact person for the group.  Light refreshments will be served.

The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library is located at 18 Maine Street, Kennebunkport.  For more information about this program, please call 967-2778.
